The Details:

~To receive your Little Black Book in time for Valentine’s Day gift giving your session must take place before February 1st.

~Sessions take place at a location of your choice, and we can make any space work- so don’t worry about your apartment not being huge, or your crazy wallpaper! Often our
clients choose to book a hotel room for the occasion, but this is not a necessity.

~Hair and Make-up is not provided, but is recommended. We can point you in the right direction if you would like either.

~Once your booking is confirmed we will send you our Boudoir Book with lots of tips on how to make your session as fabulous as possible.

~Your Little Black Book is a gorgeous high quality album with 10 images from your session

~ALL images are professionally edited and re-touched to our very high standards

~Your comfort level is key, and your female photographer coaches you every step of the way

~The package fee is due at time of booking

~If you would like to be our Hostess for the evening and have at least 4 friends book their sessions, we will bring

champagne and chocolates for everyone, and as the Hostess you will receive your session and Little Black Book FREE!

I’ve been having a lot of fun meeting some super nice gals, and love what we’ve been getting! But, I’ve been so busy with editing, my blog has been a little neglected. It’s getting a facelift though, and we’re getting ready to add some new branding into the mix. We are fully booked for August and are now accepting appointments into the second half of September. Remember to leave enough time between your session date and wedding date to receive prints and albums– we would recommend booking your session for a date at least 6 weeks before your big day!! So many thanks; I had a great weekend, and we worked our butts off (see- it is hard work!), but the results are definitely worth it!!

It’s about time we got the party started over here!

I’m not sure what you’re doing this weekend, but I get to have a Girl’s Night In with a group of absolutely fab ladies who’ve decided that nothing says I love you (to their husbands to be!) then a sexy and FUN photo shoot, and they’ll be gifting their lucky grooms with the beautiful results!

Oh, I know I’ll be working, but if you have to be working on the weekend, this is the best way to do it- gorgeous hotel suite, fantastic music, yummy goodies and loads of laughs. It’s the perfect excuse to be a complete girl and give in to your inner diva! Hair, make-up, clothes, shoes, a little Sex and the City for inspiration, the works. And if you’re looking for a way to spice up your marriage–or even just remind the man you’re about to marry that he’s damn lucky– this is how you do it, baby.

We are so happy to be able to offer boudoir photography to our past, present and future clients, and to kick it all off with a bang we are hosting a Boudoir Marathon!

When: April 18th and 19th

Where: A gorgeous luxury suite (only ladies who book a session will receive the address, for security purposes)

What: An hour of complete indulgence and star treatment, creating the most beautiful and classic photographs you will ever have of yourself, for his (or your) eyes only.

Who: Well, YOU, of course! And me- your exclusive photographer, and an all-female team including a make-up artist and assistant.

Why: Because you deserve it. Because he deserves it. Because it’s about time you felt like the most beautiful person in the room again, or perhaps for the first time.

Whew! After much fiddling with internet stuff the Studio1948 Couture Intimates blogsite is back again! Lots to catch up on, new marathon to announce soon, and we’ll be getting to it all this weekend.

Now, this is a very good lesson that even though you can probably do a lot of things yourself, sometimes it really does pay to use a professional!! We will be outsourcing our website management from now on– anyone know some good people!?

One of the first questions clients ask us is ‘What should I wear?’ . While this is entirely personal and there is no right or wrong answer, there is definitely some beautiful and inspiring stuff out there that is so darn photo-worthy I can’t possibly not share it with you all! So we’ve decided to start a regular series of posts, at least once a week, listing some of the fabulous finds we’ve come across, and hope it will be inspiring to you as well!

We’re kicking this series off with two of my favorites. One you all probably know, is Victoria’s Secret. They have tons of great ideas and something for everyone, no matter how modest or daring you might be. I am loving their sheer French Maid babydoll. It’s shown here in pink, but I think it would be fantastic in sheer black. And their prices are so low that you can order a bunch of lovely lacy things and still have money left over for a french manicure!!

It’s subtle and sexy without being explicit, perfect for someone who doesn’t feel comfortable in peek-a-boo panties!

I’m also totally loving the new Black Label line from La Perla. They’ve taken their inspiration from the roaring twenties, and as someone who adores everything vintage, I think it’s just so fabulous. They’ve got a fantastic dragon bra that is all Orient Express/glamour incarnate. You really can’t go wrong with any thing from La Perla. It’s all gorgeous, and it all works. Very chic and tasteful.

Last but not least, stilettos or high heels are something everyone should bring to their shoot- even if you’re not a shoe girl (and I’m not really one either) they make your legs look like a million bucks and are oh-so sexy when done right. These hot little sweeties from Nine West are yummy.

They have incredible 72 sales of designer clothing, jewelry and other miscellaneous items, (like Jamie Oliver cookware- loooove Jamie). You have to sign up to get access to the sales, and once you do Haute Look will send an email alert when each new sale starts. Occasionally a lingerie line comes up, and there are almost always amazing deals to be had on shoes and jewelry. Like Lanvin pumps for 1/2 the retail price. Which is still pretty pricey, but they’re Lanvin! You will own them for life.

Even if you don’t buy, it’s fun to ‘window shop’ and just peruse all the beautiful things.

I’m heading out of town in a minute but had to announce our next Boudoir Marathon before I left! As always, it’s first come first serve, and space is limited to 6. Everyone gets a private appointment (so it’s not like you’re grouped in with a bunch of strangers!) and our team is entirely female which to me, is a huge comfort thing! Sessions will take place in a fabulous suite with gorgeous decor and amenities, and you will be treated in true celebrity style!

Date: May 30th, 2009

Details:

~On location at boutique hotel suite (details given only to booked participants)
~Amenities include drinks, fresh fruit and pastries, chocolate (there must be
chocolate!)
~Make-up artist on site
~Up to 3 outfit changes per client
~Professional re-touching of images
~Private, password protected gallery for viewing and ordering images

~All images ordered are printed at a professional lab, images larger than 8×10 are mounted and finished for longevity.
~One hour of photography per client

In addition, to celebrate the launch of our new site and name we are giving every boudoir client booked from now until June 6th our Little Black Book: a 5×5 leather album with 10 images from your session, beautifully boxed for gift giving (value of $175). These are gorgeous albums and a nice way for us to say Thank You for helping to launch Studio1948 Intimates!

If you can’t make the next Boudoir Marathon dates you can host your own Marathon, with 5 friends, or you can book a private, individual session exclusively for you.

To book an appointment, a retainer of 50% is required to confirm your space, with the balance due the day of the session.
