Erin and Tim were blessed by a rare sunny Saturday, rare since we’ve had almost nothing but rain every weekend this summer! I think it’s a good sign of what is yet to come for this happy and in love couple.
The bride wore a gorgeous empire waist gown that suited her perfectly, and the bridesmaids were lovely in chocolate brown strapless dresses. They all carried very chic bouquets of white calla lilies, really very elegant, simple and beautiful. The groom broke from tradition and wore a fantastic espresso suit, he was handsome!
The ceremony was so touching, and they were surrounded by loving friends and family. After the ceremony we went to the Ottawa Arboretum and Experimental Farm where the great weather held for us, and we spent some time getting beautiful portraits of the new Mr and Mrs, their wedding party, and family. Reception was held at Lago at Dows Lake Pavillion– so nice on the deck overlooking the water!
The events of the day:
Love the getting read shots– the anticipation, everyone’s a little nervous but happy, and real, candid moments.
And chariots come in all kinds of colours- red is a good one!

And I would be remiss in not mentioning my awesome assistant for the day, Lindsay Currie of Lindsay Currie Photography. I fell in love with her macro shots, so had to get a macro before my next wedding. Too much fun!!
One of my favorites from the night, the bride with her father,
and the happy couple, another favorite for sure.
